Chicken Road – What Is This Game

In April 2024, InOut Games released the Chicken Road game. One player takes a turn at a time in a crash-style format. The player guides a chicken along a path lined with traps. With every step forward, the bet multiplier grows. At each stage, the player chooses to cash out the current profit or continue for another step and a higher return

This game offers a 98% RTP rate, which means the house edge is 2%. Within the crash category, it ranks higher than most other options.

How Does the Betting System Work

Players can bet from $0.01 to €200 per round, with $0.01 as the minimum and €200 as the maximum. Throughout a session, a player’s winnings may reach up to €20,000.

Choose your stake before the round begins. A €1 bet pays out €24.5. With a €200 bet, the return is €4,900.

There is no play mode. Players who prefer shorter sessions can enable Quick Play in the settings. Once activated, they can press the spacebar to use this feature.

What Are the Four Difficulty Options

Chicken Road offers four modes. Each mode adjusts both the level of risk and the potential payout. The modes differ in how many safe and deadly tiles appear in each row.

One mode has 24 steps with multipliers from 1.03x to 19.44x and a 1 in 25 chance to lose per tile. Another offers 22 steps, multipliers from 1.12x to 1,788x, and a 3 in 25 risk per tile. The third mode features 20 steps, multipliers starting at 1.23x and reaching 41,321.43x, with a 5 in 25 chance to lose. The final mode has 15 steps, multipliers from 1.63x to 2,542,251.93x, and a 10 in 25 risk per tile.

Changing the difficulty also changes the volatility. However, the expected value for each session remains unchanged.

How Do Multipliers Progress

Multipliers drive the main progression mechanic. Each successful step raises the payout coefficient, which makes multipliers increase. This increase follows an exponential pattern, not a linear one. As rewards grow, risk also rises.

Each time a player finishes a step, the multiplier increases, and the risk of failure rises as well. In one mode, the chance of losing remains low at 0.16% by the fifth stage. Another mode begins with about a 40% chance of failure at stage one, and by stage ten, that number climbs past 75%.

Medium mode offers higher peak multipliers, but increased risk per step. Easy mode pays up to 24.5 times the stake on a full run. There is a trade-off between safety and potential returns, so players must make a strategic choice when selecting difficulty.

What Happens in Each Round

Each round begins. Players follow a series of steps and make decisions at each stage. The round finishes when players cash out.

  1. Pick a stake from $0.01 to $200.
  2. Choose from four modes.
  3. Press Play to load the grid.
  4. Use Go to move ahead by one tile.
  5. Use Cash Out to lock in the multiplier you see.
  6. If the player hits a trap, the round ends and the player does not get a payout.

How Does the Cash-Out Decision Work

After every step, players face a choice: they can either keep going or take the multiplier they have. The cash-out function influences each round, and timing cash-out is crucial for success in Chicken Road.

Cashing out immediately sets the current coefficient, ends the round, and ensures a payout. Waiting could lead to a higher multiplier, but it also raises the risk of losing everything. If a trap triggers, the bet is lost and cannot be recovered, and the session resets after the bet is lost.

About 65% of players pick lower-volatility modes. They want results over multipliers and choose to manage risk rather than chase rewards.

How Fair Is the Random Number Generation

A random number generator determines the crash chance before each jump. The machine operates independently for every round. It does not consider previous rounds, session history, or account balance when selecting the result.

InOut Games holds a Curaçao license for the product. The system uses SHA-256 hash checks for integrity. The paytable and help screen have the same setup.

Transparency applies to all four difficulty modes. Each session relies on the same verification methods.

Which Devices Support the Title

Chicken Road runs on a range of devices, giving Pakistani players the flexibility to select their preferred way to play. The game Chicken Road includes these options:

  • Desktop browsers – Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge all run the title without additional software;
  • Android mobile browsers – Chrome and Samsung Internet on Android 5.0 and later versions support full functionality;
  • iOS mobile browsers – Safari on iPhone and iPad with iOS 11 and newer versions delivers the same experience.

No app download is required to play. The title runs directly in mobile browsers on Android and iOS devices. This approach eliminates storage concerns for players with limited device memory, and performance remains consistent across all supported devices in Pakistan.

What Is the Expected Cost Per Hour

The cost varies based on the game version and the amount bet. In the 98% version, a player betting $1 per round across 80 rounds pays $1.60 per hour. In the sequel, the hourly cost rises to $3.60.

A player runs two-hour sessions daily for a month and loses $96 in the first game. In the sequel, this player loses $216. The sequel, as a result, costs 2.25 times more.

Hourly cost changes with bet size, rising when stakes increase and falling when they decrease. While volatility influences session outcomes, it does not impact the cost over time.

How Does It Compare to the Sequel

In April 2025, InOut Games released Chicken Road 2.0, the follow-up to their 2024 original. Chicken Road 2.0 offers players a 95.5% return, while the earlier version provided a 98% return. The house edge rose by 2.5 percentage points.

In the 2025 release, users can follow a path beyond the previous 24-step limit. The sequel adds auto cash-out, and version 2.0’s hardcore mode features 18 lines. The multiplier starts at 1.44x and can reach up to 3,608,855.25x.

Both versions offer up to PKR 20,000 in winnings. The original version has a higher RTP and gives better returns.

What Bankroll Strategy Works Best

Set limits, such as betting $1 or $2 for each round. This method keeps a pace and helps decide when to cash out.

Keep each Hardcore bet at 1% or less of the total balance. Limit play to one Hardcore session per cycle. Staying within 1-5% of the total bankroll per play maintains flexibility.

Select a mode, then place bets ranging from 10 to 30 euros. Set the risk for each line at 12 percent. When the multiplier exceeds 2x, choose the fifth line.

Final Thoughts

Players choose from four available difficulty modes. The crash game offers a 98% return to player. With a 2% house edge, it falls below the average for most casino games.

Demo mode helps new players understand how the game works. The first version offers more value compared to the sequel.
